If you had a chance to surf social media in the last few days, chances are that you may have read about CarryMinati, the person who is on the centre stage of YouTube v/s TikTok; and it’s getting crazier every second.
CarryMinati had managed to grab attention on social media from his latest video of YouTube v/s TikTok – The End, which was, supposedly, going to become the most liked video on YouTube. In this video, CarryMinati was seen roasting Amir Siddiqui, a self-proclaimed TikTok influencer; and this video managed to gain over 7.1 Cr views under a week with 1 Cr likes and doubling his subscribers to 16.6 million, but that’s not all.
Just as his video was going viral and gaining attention like a wildfire, YouTube decided to take down his video. In YouTube’s defence, they had to delete the video because Carry had violated their policy, which was updated in the month of December, 2019. YouTube states that this video was violating their harassment policy and Carry was, pretty clearly, targeting and harassing Amir.
Since YouTube deleted the video, CarryMinati followers are not able to contain themselves; because let’s face it, if this video was still available online, it would have become the most liked (non-musical) video on YouTube. There are trending hash tags on Twitter like #CarryMinati , #JusticeForCarry , #carryminatitiktokroast , and #BanTikTokIndia
Apart from Twitteratis, memers have started creating memes that are supporting CarryMinati and there are news articles written for him too. All in all, people on social media were hoping Carry’s video to be the most liked one, but YouTube’s action has made them furious and now people are agitated with YouTube India.
